I'm planning to get an elegance coral but I've heard that they have a very high chance of dying to elegance coral disease. How long you guys kept yours alive for and is the disease still happening?

Yes, my (was Nick's) elegance is still doing great.
I think there is a higher chance of them dying within a few months of them being harvested from the wild, but once they have been established for a while they are fine.

to my understanding the disease isnt found in the wild only in captivity.
ECS(elegnace coral syndrome) is highly contagious so when a elegant shares the same system as an infected species it to has a very high chance to surcome to ECS and more than likely will
ECS can kill as fast as a few days or up to a year later.
it can infect all species of Catalaphyllia
there is no known cure to my knowlege?
cheers
