My pond is almost complete and I fired up my filter for a couple of weeks. What kind of salt are people putting in their ponds?
Based on what I have read on the web, it was suggested to use 1lb of salt per 100 gal of water. The LFS are charging about $2/lb of salt. Wow...I thought salt cost for my reef tank was expensive.
Looking for suggestions so I don't go to the poor house.

I found the answer for my own question. Instead of paying $2/lb; I am now paying .30/lb.
Now I can sleep better...

You could get it at King Ed Pets, but I am not sure the brand. They are selling it for $15 for a 50lb bag. That's what Eric quoted me. I actually bought my bag of 50lb Cargill kiln dried medium salt from Hawaiian Botanical on Westminster Hwy and #7 Rd in Richmond for $19.

kiln dried is the same as I use. 50lb sack of it runs not very much money
