i cant believe this happened just now... i just bought a firefish and just when i finish drip acclimating him i decided to take the bag he was in and pour some water out and BLOPPPP down he went into the drain with it.... i quickly disconnected the piping and got him out but he was with dirty freshwater... quickly put him in a bucket of my tanks water.. will he be ok to put in my tank or will he be goners/infect my tank?... was in the pipe for about a total of 30 seconds

It will be fine to place him in your tank.

If it was only 30 sec, he will be OK. He won't be happy with you..., but he should get over it...

Lol I still can't believe that happened. I'm transferring him into seperate tank water containers to try to flush the nasty sink water from him

After putting him in the tank he got beat up a lil bit by my yellow tang, royal gamma and nemos. He instantly found my other fire fish and won't seperate =)

lol. It's so true. Just think of his little trip as a nice fresh water dip to ensure no parasites. People do freshwater dips for up to 10 minutes sometimes so 30 seconds wouldn't harm it at all.

awe poor guy =[

my purple firefish jumped like mad when she was first put in the tank. After all the stories I have heard, I think I will always have a covered top!

Firefish will always find a hole to jump through and will make it through the most ridiculously small hole too. They're like an octopus that way

i got a lot of pond netting. its not gonna block too much light is it? i use to have a plexiglass cover but it became such a hassle taking it out and wiping off the moisture each day so i took it off
