90g tank not doing so good would like to sell it all and start fresh

First of all everything has aptasia and long green hair all pictures are as new as this post hopefully someone can't take better care of this than I could.
Ok I got 2 kinds of pollies $10 for both
Roughly 30 heads of frogspawn $3 per head
11 heads of home green candycane $15
9 heads off nameless at the moment $20
8 fuzzy green purple mushrooms $30
2 or 3 pink fuzzy mushrooms $15
Fuzzy cabbage coral $25
All the rock maybe 100pounds live and maybe 50 pounds dead $2.50/p on live and $1.50/p on dead
1 male clown partner must have died last night $5
1 brittle star eartchen 15 inches long missing 2 legs must have happened last night maybe that's why my clown died who knows$10
Possibly a snail and some crabs not sure yet $5

know things can be frustrating but there's Mg dosing for bryosis and tilefish for aptasia.

Sort of saying might want to figure out and deal with what's going on now or chances are next tank might not be any better

Unless you plan on going with a completely different size/shape. It will/can come back nicely

First figure out what's causing the problem, the first thing I would be doing is taking at least half of the sand base out, it looks like it's loaded with detris and very dirty, then run some Rowaphos in a reactor for your phosphate issue along with weekly 25% RO water changes, then work on the aptasia problem filefish and some peppermint shrimp. Some more flow to your tank with some water turbulence on your water surface would be a big help, I don't see any water surface breakage in your full tank picture. There could be other issues as well and maybe others will chime in to help out. Hope this helps, with some work and time it can be fixed. :wof:

Water changes x1 per week for a month..
Pepermint shrimp x1 per 35 gallons... Depending on how much aptasia you've got & their $8-9 ea.

Your looking at fixing it for <$100 bucks... And your next tank will again be the same in 3 months without the above things...

Remove a quarter of the sand -wash it and put it back... Get 2 sand stars and a bunch of nassarius snails and cerith snails to get your sand bed heAlthy... Remove sand each week wash it (tap water) and put it right back where it was.

Your tank has a ton of potential and can start looking good in a short time!!! It's easier to fix that one then start over.... I'm just sayin....

I had same issiue but way worse
I ran a spoon of Gfo in my sock for a week and all hair is gone
Now just a tiny bit of cyno bactiera but that easy to get rid of

Thank u everyone for your help all off the above is the problem. I. Can't afford it at the moment. I need to move out soon here. I know the problems it's me neglecting them or can't afford the fix. And really want to start with no used livestock or equipment I'd like to go 100% bran new but I'm keeping the lights that's it and this is not anytime soon hopefully in a new house and when I get my broke ass figured out. Oh forgot this tank did look amazing about this time last year it's only just the past 3 months I let it get like this I would love to keep it but I have to many other things going on I can't do it right now next year hopefully will start up again

Still about 100 pounds of live rock and about 50 of dead rock about 2 1/2 g of sand about 15 heads of frogspawn all the mushrooms and cabbage coral and the purple with green centre candy coral if that's what they are is still forsale everything has been treated and I've done an 80% water change everything is looking amazing again so come take it of my hands so I can move and start fresh

Looks like all your corals are bleached too?

Were you out of town for a long time or something? Just appears to me, IMO, that neglect got the better of it.

No hair algae will disappear magically with rowa added. And no way in a weeks time. It takes a combination of phos remover, manual removal (pull it out) and a correction in your maintenance habits (reduce feedings, more frequent water changes, etc). This is a process that takes time. Trust me.

The aptasia is something else all together. That battle will be long and hard... for every one you can see...bank on 2 you can't. You will need an aptasia predator, as recommended by another reefer. File fish or peppermint shrimp work well.

As for the bleaching.... thats something else. Lack of element dosing. Too powerful of light setting. Poor water quality. Who knows.

I dont know your history with reefing, but I would say, get on the net and start reading before you start again. Find the issue and solve it. Over time your tank will be better off.

I dont know anyone who wants corals or rock infested that badly.

I would step back. And work to correct what obviously went wrong. In a captive environment... its almost always the "reefers fault". The tank cant take care of itself.

I myself, have been battling Dinos for the last year. My tank has only two corals in it, as adding anything while the tank is under stress is a bad idea. Makes everything harder if you cant focus on the problems. I almost shut down, but the light is at the end of the tunnel now, and im looking forward to the end result. a healthy reef again.

I know this probably wont help you, but selling it all is the wrong path... as the poor condition of the corals and rock are worth next to nothing... unless somebody really wants to inherit your problems in their own tank.

Also, the bubbles in the hair algae indicate to me, its probably not hair algae.

It looks like mine did.... and I was told its Dinoflagellates.
