I have a solar wrasse that got beat up pretty badly by another fairy wrasse. Ive managed to net the solar wrasse and I have him in a net in my DT. He's alive but not active. Do I give up hope? Is there anything I can do to save this guy? I don't have a qt to put him in, do I leave him in the net until he can hopefully recover ? He's been in the net for about 20 hours but not strong enough to swim about very much. I feel like c%#@ for bringing him home!

You could get a kritter keeper (http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/store_pages/searchpage.php?product_name=kritter+keeper&all_keywords=product_name&manufacturer=) from J&L tonight. The mini would do fine short-term
Just weigh it down with a rock or something

Even Petsmart sells Mesh net breeder things that hang off the rim of your tank. Or the hard plastic ones, or Critter keepers depending what works best for your situation. I've always been partial to something hanging off the top edge so I'm not diving for it all the time.

Pet smart would be a closer option tonight.

This is what I use.
http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3788232&lmdn=SHOP+FOR&f=PAD%2FpsNotAvailInCA%2FNo
May not work on a euro brace unless you used a bit of tape to hold the brackets, but the brackets are metal and can be bent to fit about any shape of rim if youre gentle and don't rip them off all the time like me.
Or they sell those plastic breeders.

Or Critter keepers which you can find down the reptile isle, or small animal isle or just about all over the store.
Youll know what works best for your situation.

He is now in a breeder recovering.

Hopefully he's smart enough to stay in it and not jump out! My other wrasse is charging the box futile in his attempts.

Anybody interested in a wrasse?? :p

If you want, I can try adding him to my 2' cube. If he fully recovers and lives, I will pay you for him. That cube is currently wrasse-free so at least he won't be competing with another wrasse.

+1, very generous offer from Anthony, I would take him up on that offer for sure :)
