hey all

So I am in the market for a new skimmer, return pump and over flow for my RSM250. I have a small sump that I traded for frags so I would love to start upgrading from my old stock skimmer.

Few things I needed to ask.

First off I am looking for a really good, silent overflow for my tank. I have been told a Life-reef would be best for this and I can order this from the stats for about 119.00 or so.

So we come to a skimmer.. I need something under 22" high.. A foot print smaller than 10x10". I also want something that will work on a 120 gallon if I upgrade a couple years down the road.

I have been looking at the new Vertex 130 as it seems to be a good price and but is only rated for 100 gallons.

Also looked at the Skimz SM 121 Monzter E-Series. It is cheaper is rated higher but as it is cheaper, not sure if it's built to last.

Does anyone have any info that can help me choose? There are just soo many options..

My tank is heavy SPS with LPS and with about 8 fish.

Thanks :D
