Pistol shrimp and goby pair. Always busy digging about, this is an amazing combo! The instant the shrimp touched down it began to dig dig dig! Within minutes there was a burrow large enough for both of them!

I could watch this little guy for hours. His filter arms are so delicate and busy.
He really goes to work when it's feeding time.

Hi Christy!

Thanks for the nice words!

Canon PowerShot S400 is the camera I use for the shots. It has a macro feature that seems to reach through the glass and capture some really clear images! I even use it for little movies.

I am not much of a photographer, but sometimes I get lucky

Thanks again!

Thanks for the info. Do you use a flash when you take the pics? I just can't believe how incredibly sharp and well lit they are. Oh and I know about digicam pics. I get about 2 shots per 40 turn out to my liking

Hi Tony!

Thanks for the comments!

The red rose is only a day old in my tank. The aquarium shop I frequent in Calgary has excellent specimens that are so healthy and bright.

This particular anemone already had a mated crab and looked so nice it seemed an obvious choice.

I will find out what lights he uses to maintain them. This guy is always bringing in neat stuff! I got my Goby/Pistol Shrimp pair from him, too.

I am new to the hobby and am enjoying so much this little speck of ocean in my family room.

Chad (a.k.a. Fish) helped me select the lights for my tank - 2x250W 10k Metal Halides, 2x VHO, 2x Actinic.

Cheers!

 you are so right, Christy!

2 out of 40 sounds about right!

The flash on the camera is what I use. Sometimes the angle is off and it reflects, but most of the time it punches through the glass with ease.

It's been a good little camera!

This feisty little guy is a treat. He's either shameless or curious (or both?)

How long has your tank been set up, just curious. I already know where you shop...

Jojoseb there are those pictures. They almost look as good as the tank does in person  . Awsome, awsome! That anemone crab is my new "coolest thing I've ever seen in my life." keep up the good work.

Emily,
The glass is new but the reef is actually second hand from a member on this board named TaTtOo, it is two years old or so.

Man I love seeing good photos! Looks like you're having a blast with that camera! (Gotta get me a Canon some day...)

Did I miss the part where you descibed your tank, etc.?

Thanks,
