Good day eh....
So, After being a lurker for a long time and honing my reefing skills, I thought it was due time for a build thread.
Been keepin nanos for 3 yrs now, very simple setups. I am a fan of "easy" i suppose...
I always wanted a very simple, yet elegant nano that was easy on the wallet (is that even possible in this hobby?....) and easy and cheap maintenance costs.
I would love a 220+ gal system with every bell and whistle available, however, the wife aka "voice of reason" has put me in the nano department....
Which is ultimately fine, cuz the thought of having to do 50 gal water changes and giant skimmers and pumps failing to the worst imagineable scenario (tank crash) just aint my cup o tea....
Seeoooooooooo.....
Nano it is.....

On to my future setup....

- refurbished 14 gal biocube with modifed media basket (Will keep the Filter media outta the sump)
- 3/4" PVC overflow from third chamber (not a glass driller, yet)
- 9-10 gallon sump/refugium made from acrylic DIY
- 120W Full Spec LED lighting from EBay. (Unknown Brand)Looks saweeet tho!
- Par 38 56 watt refugium LED
- Aqueon AQ1200 Quiet One (better be) return pump
- Red Sea Berlin 60 Air driven protein skimmer
- Jebao WP-10 wavemaker (this thing is tinier than a Hydor 240 powerhead)
- Gonna be utilizing the Red SEa program so that will include Coral Pro Salt, Testing equipment, and additives.

that is all my head remembers for now.....ummmmmmm....Pics = proof i hear....

I did some fancy epoxy work and using dry rock, formed one solid piece (easy to move and catch things if necessary). Its cool in the fact that it will showcase to nano overhangs, a nano bridge at base, just so its not just a mound of stone, but has differing gradients to look at.

Its coming along nicely now. Once the stand is built, I will show that and get this thing plumbed and wet in no time.

thanks for lookin! Always up for any to all input from more experienced reefers!!!!
