Just poking around the literature on ich and ran across a paper on producing a vaccine. Obviously this is being developed for aquaculture applications. But I was wondering, how many of you would vaccinate your fish? Tangs seem like the best target for such a vaccine. Obviously it wouldn't be cheap, say an extra $100-200 to keep your Achilles or powder blue from ever getting ich.

If a vaccine was ever actually successful, I'd expect my LFS's Suppliers to start using it vigorously and I'd pay a couple extra bucks for the fish

Thanks for the link

i think that if it was levv then 40$ people would use it but i think pet stores would say they use it that dont this would open up alot of scams

Vaccinated fish could be tagged by the vet? Though I suppose that would open a market for counterfeit tagged fish.
