This has nothing to do with the reefs we keep in our aquariums but the reefs in Canada's own waters. Canada (BC specifically) is home to the worlds only reef of glass sponge (Previously it was thought that all glass sponges were extinct).

When I was doing my Master's at UBC, we did a field trip to Bamfield Marine Sciences Center. Good times. Good times. Rough road though so quite an adventure to even get there.
