The Annual Prince George Reef Tank Tour was formed eight years ago by a local retailer who wanted to show her clientele some of the many ways that a reef aquarium could be set up and run. We continue that tradition by hosting several open house showings every winter.

Here is the schedule for this year's Tank Tour. All showings are 12 noon to 4pm. Pictures to follow. PM for addresses.

January 18 UNBC
February 2 Russell's (mine)
February 16 Craig's
March 2(?) Doug's

We had a terrific turnout today, at least 25 people dropped in over the course of the afternoon thanks to some referrals from our local Total Pet and a wonderful article in the Free Press newspaper (see online version here: http://www.pgfreepress.com/see-whats-under-the-sea/). Thanks again to Doug as well for letting me play with his macro lens.

The next tank showing is February 2 at 12 noon to 4 pm. Please message me for the address or call (250) 964-7007.

HI, my hubby and I will be coming to the reef tank tour on Feb 2nd, I was wondering if anyone in PG had any frags we could buy off of you. We have had our tank up for two years and are finding it hard to acquire frags. Thank you!

Anyone who wishes to bring frags for sale is very welcome to do so at all of these events. I suggest individually bagging everything and carrying them in a cooler however there is usually room to float bagged coral while at the tanks. Bring a cooler as well if you think you might purchase something.

Unfortunately I was too busy on Sunday to borrow Doug's macro lens again but here are a few new pictures from this weekend taken with my regular camera.

The next tank showing is Craig's on February 16 at 12 noon to 4 pm. Please message me for the address or call (250) 964-7007.

Nice pics Russell. Too bad you won't be here next weekend to take some pics of mine. I'll coax you over one day with a bottle of Jager:lol:

We are done for another year! Last weekends showing at Doug's was excellent as over 20 people passed through to see his ever evolving masterpiece. Once again Doug was nice enough to let me goof around with his macro lens so here are a few favourites. Those of you who are on my emailing list can expect to receive notification next January for the 9th Annual PG Reef Tank Tour. If you'd like to join the emailing list send me a PM.

Thanks for organising the tour again this year, it was good to see everyone and it definitely was inspiring to see some healthy reefs.
