Where am I going wrong..

I have a Gen 1 Radion that I recieved 2nd hand from another reefer here. I can't get it to program correctly with Ecotech Live.

I hook it up with the Micro USB, It reconizes the Radions. I renamed the radion placed it in the Tank grouping. I choose the "Highgrowth" option just for reference and hit Program. The program states that the radion was programmed successfully. I tried changing the off time to a minute after to see if it would turn off while plugged in (well it did).

Well I figure that's all and well and should take the cake, the radion is programed at 60% from 11am-11pm. It continues to stay on through the night. I have tried reprogramming it, updating the firmware, trying a different program and it still continues to stay on through the night.

This makes me believe that its not being programmed properly and that its staying in its "basic" mode?

I thought I would try here before I try and contact Ecotech directly.

The new ecotech live is difficult to work with. The old program was much easier to use.. You'll figure it out. Tough to give advice on this one as I have to relearn the frickin thing every time I go into it...lol

Make sure you use Chrome, do the new profile and factory reset process, as well as any Connection Manager and firmware updates.

I still just use the original Ecosmart Config desktop utility, and it does everything I want. They seemed to have fixed the initial software bugs, as I have no problems with mine. And I use it frequently, as I have 7 lights spread among 3 tanks that I adjust from time to time.

LOL. I gave up ages ago. I can't even figure out how to change the clock when the time changes!

How many radions are you running? Is it just this one or was this one being added to a group?

I've unfortunately had more experience than I wish I did dealing with programming Radions. Generally speaking a factory reset after moving a light from one group to another seems to be necessary to avoid things like this. Thankfully it's only one light so it's pretty simple to do, and doesn't hurt the light at all. My advice would be to delete the group, factory reset the light and start from scratch. It will more than likely solve the issue.

Ok well that sucks balls. EcoTech is not open on the weekends, and their office is in the east so if you call on Monday make sure to do it before 3 Alberta time.

Have you tried the Ecosmart Config Utility (needs to be downloaded and run)? And are you running the right mode on they lights to match your program? Green light is the natural mode, where blue is the artificial.

Took me a bit at the beginning to figure out the software (not the most intuitive), but no problems after that.
