Anyone got a tank in there bedroom and like the moonlights on ?

"Blue light regulates our secretion of melatonin, the sleep hormone. Exposed to blue light, we limit the production of melatonin, and we stay alert and awake; in the absence of blue light, melatonin production ramps up, and we get sleepy"

That is a very interesting read ...now I know why I have problems sleeping as i spend lots of time working in my aquarium room lit with only blue spectrum LEDs most of the time ...and most of my house lighting is LEDs high kelvin white...HMm time for a little change..

Yah I have a tank in the bedroom and love watching the moonlights before sleep. But I wake up frequently

I keep my moonlights on from 8pm till 11pm so I can sleep properly. But I do keep a light on in the room since I am afraid of ghosts :behindsofa:

LOL @ the ghost part.
I guess its time to unplug those moonlights.....

My Tank is in my bedroom and me and my gf have not been sleeping the best so going to try turning the moonlights off, Thanks!!

Yep I'm trying this right away ! Or have them turn off at a decent time

My tank is on from 5:30am just before I wake up and off at 6:30pm and ever since I have been sleeping better.

Yah mine turn off at 10 before bedski all this week. 95% sleep improvement !

Red light is the only spectrum of light that doesn't dilate the eyes and cause the melatonin effect your talking about

I leave the moonlights on all night on my freshwater invade my wife has to get up to feed our daughter
