I'm picking up a tank in the next few days and I'll need to pick up some plumbing for it. Any suggestions on where to find good quality parts at an affordable price in Surrey (South Surrey / Cloverdale preferably).

I know its not in Surrey , but Corix is right on the other side of the Port Mann bridge , if you can't find anywhere closer.

I have bought a lot of my plumbing from Andrew Sheret on 56th Ave near Langley. Of course there is also Home Depot and Rona...

Andrew Sheret - Thanks for the tip, I'll go check them out. Thanks to everyone for their ideas.

I was at Rona on the weekend and their PVC selection was limited. Especially for elbows, connectors and valves.

Does Corix sell true union valves, gate valves etc?

The 200th location is near me, you could drop around if you go there Kelly... and bring me some tasty frags

I'll probably check out Andrew Sheret first, but I'll let you know what I find.

Do you have any room left in your tank? Or did you upgrade again? I can always find some nice frags for you Rob. Maybe a Desalwii, Blue Matrix, Sunset milli, or a Diablo Milli (might be a while this one though)?

gate valves will be difficult to find.

your best bet will be home depot.

I've been to Andrew Sherbet. You can't just walk around to shop for the bits and pieces, you need to give the fellow at the sales counter your list. He collects all of it and you pay for it. You're unable to price shop.

good luck!

Corix in Coquitlam has gate valves and you can walk around and check out what they have . There prices are pretty decent.

andrew sheret is the distributor for all this kind of stuff. there is no "price shopping" and you don't need to here - you get stuff about 1/2 the price of any retail location. My friend Leigh parker works there in the back if you want to ask for him - he'll help you out.

pm me and I'll give him a heads up if you plan on going there - they are also open on saturday's

Wait a second, this is my thread!

Thanks for the info. I do want to shop it out first, so I will check out Corix first.

Gate valves at Home Depot good luck my Home Depot only has PVC 1/2 to 1" corix is the cheapest for PVC. No point of price shopping everything is about half price or lower then Home Depot and Rona. sherit would be very close in comparison for prices.

Gate valves are cheaper at Corix than your LFS

Here's a sample of the prices.

Spears Gate Valve - FPT
1" $20
3/4" $17
1/2" $14

Spears Check Valves - flap
1" $18
3/4" $17
1/2" $10

Please keep in mind, you'll need to contact your local Corix store for prices.

Good luck!

I second Corix and Andrew Sheret. I used to go to the Corix in Cloverdale but they've closed that location :( They were super helpful and even sold me short scraps of PVC pipe at a good price. Shopped at Andrew Sheret in Langley a couple times too and they had great prices as well.

Ron99,

is that the one on 56th just off 200th?

if yes, they're GREAT to deal with. I've been there a few times from Coquitlam.
