So I just got a 12 gallon fluval edge tank. Wondering what kind of fish people keep in there nano reefs? I can only have a few so gotta make sure they are good ones
Yellow gobies. Clown gobies. If you keep clownfish. Make sure to relocate them when they grow big.

I thought clown gobies eat coral? They are neat looking though. I was thinknim 3 fish total. 2 mated clowns and anemone. And maybe one other fish
I've got a randal goby and a pistol shrimp - along with two juvenile clowns in a 15 gallon - it works well!

Gobies are reef safe and have the added advantage of staying small which makes them good candidates for nano systems

thanks guys good to know. I like the idea of a pistol shrimp. That could be neat.
Watch out though, pistol shrimp love to move sand around and they tend to move any small rock/corals on the sand too.
A Goby/Shrimp pair is cool but I had issues with mine making huge sand piles.
Another one I would recommend is a small Cardinalfish species. Peaceful, cool looking and they don't swim around all over the place.

Thanks for the info, i think id be ok as i only have a small amount of live sand. And its closer to pebbels then sand so its a little more coarse. How many fish do you guys think i can safely add to a 12 gallon? 2-3?

Eviota goby, Trimma goby, flaming prawn goby, masked gobies. Maybe some neat inverts like pom pom crabs and porcelain crabs.
