Quick question, is there's difference between the seaweed you get at the supermarket than the local fish store?

Are you asking about nori?
Some nori has additives, some not. So look at the label
I bought mine at a local chinese market
if you get a chance to make your way into Vancouver, go to the Sunrise Market located at the corner of Powell Street and Gore Street.
They sell the bulk packs of straight Nori for less than $5. Package is maybe about an inch thick!
Definitely cheaper to buy at Sunrise than LFS.
Good luck!

most of nori for sushi wrap is fine for tangs.
I buy them at Asian supermarket all the time. I usually look for the cheapest.

Just make sure it is unsalted and unseasoned sushi wrap
Often times it is exactly the same just packaged differently and 10
times the cost

I've been using Yaki Sushi Nori 100 sheets (280gr or 9.8 oz). packs for years. My tangs love it. No additives, no seasonings. Super cheap too. Got mine from Sunrise Market on Powell or at one of the Korean stores near Island Pets in Burnaby.
Always bought just plain ole nori in the sushi section at the co-op in Brandon. They all loved it.

In Calgary you can buy unseasoned nori at Sobeys or at T&T supermarkets.
