Hi all,

I'm going to place an order shortly for some bulbs from BRS and I'm around $25 short of free shipping.

Does anyone local to me need anything to take my order over the $175 free shipping amount? I'll pick it up and it can then be picked up in Langley from my place.

Let me know,
Dunc

Hi Duncan;

I need some frag plugs and was looking at BRS. I can order at least $25 to help you out. When were you going to order?

I was going to order in the next week or two. Might just hold out to see if there are any decent black Friday deals.

Think that deal only applies to US customers

Im in need of a new skimmer... Its either boxing day up here (reef supplies maybe?)... Or black Friday there... Would group buy still apply to an item like that? Is it even worth it discount wise to buy from them with the exchange? (never ordered online for this never mind from BRS....)

I think I'm all sorted now with ordering. I live close to the border so I save on shipping and just drive over and pick it up. Kelly and Jess I'll get hold of you when I place the order.

What's that being shipped with and approximate value or the GB?

My suggestion is for whomever will organize this: look into "accounting" for the goods yourself, meaning clear them with CBSA yourself at the airport. I just got a compound bow that UPS tagged a 75$ clearance fee on top for soemthing I could have done myself easily in a matter of minutes.

Its not a group buy. Its just little old me ordering some stuff and picking it up in the US in my car. I didnt quite qualify for free shipping so I figured I would do myself and someone else a favor by adding something to my order so we can both get it with free shipping.

You're lucky it was under $100.

I ordered some tail lights for my previous car shipped from the dealer for $370.
Good ol ups delivered it with a $150 logistics charge, fartin nu~gutt!

Lesson learned always when ordering from the us ship it to a receiver and drive over to pick up. I've shipped as much as $700 through point Roberts, when you mention Aquarium hobby they usually send you through.

I order from BRS all the time and I have them shipped to my home directly. Their UPS delivery charges includes all brokerage fees and all related UPS charges. So no hidden fees, what you see is what you actually pay. And you prepaid taxes as well. Of course, you could have it shipped to the states for free and pick them up yourself. I just don't have the time to do it.
