I restarted smoking almost 2 years ago now, after a 9 year quit. The separation and pending divorce ain't easy. BUT, Cigarettes disgust me, Cigars was what I went to. Slipped down to Captian Blacks, and at 2pks/day some days, It was time to do someting!!!!. Now I can't quit. I quit for HER!, Now my life ain't the same and I'm needing the habbit. I found epuffer.com. Selling nicotine in their ecigs and ecigars. Got a e650 with Cohito fluid and havent had a real cigar in 2 days and dont want one!. using the 1.2mg fluid. I'm liking the fact I can just take a couple drags here and there to 'get my fix'. Unlike having to burn a whole cigar. And no smell in house.
Real test was today, replumbing my CL! Had to cut the tank lines on the tank side of shutoff's!!!! Real stressfull!!! Makeshift plugs on lines in tank, re arrange rock, cut pipes, pray pray no leaks. Replace plumbing, install Speedwave 2640, another leak, calmly fix. I woulda blown up to th roof if I was not gettn nicotine. Just a drag here and there, and continue working. 6 hrs without actually stopping! Way to go Vape!!! I'm sold.
I know a few people that use the ecigs - not because they want to quit, but because they like being able to smoke them in theatres, bars, watching a movie with the kids, etc.

Ya, so far I am liking this, I feel better already. 2 days and less hacking. So weather I quit or just vape now. I tried in a store today. Just felt awkward. People looked at me with disgust, thinking it was a real cig. Does produce a thick plume of exhailed smoke like vapour. I'm waitng for another cop to pull me over try ticket me. LOL, 2 mos ago I got a smoking with someone under 16 in car fine. Windows are always open. AND I nev er knew that was illegal!!!! Cop wouldnt even tell me when the law was instated

That is terrible! As a non-smoker, it REALLY doesn't help a whole lot by rolling the window down. That law came into effect July 2010. I'm surprised that you mentioned you smoke in your house too. Not many people do that anymore. It's one thing to smoke, but to lounge in the stench is something else! I hate cigarettes, and I can't wait for the day when smoking in public is banned.

I quit smoking cigs 5 years ago. But in the last year have been smoking 2 cigars a day. Never at home not around the kidlets. I want to quit them to as I hate cigs. But really do enjoy a cigar. As for vape. It don't make sense being I enjoy a cigar not the nicotine

Well my parents smoked when I was a kid. Also rode with no seatbelt and I ran with scissors too!
Sorry, My house, my rules. But yes, I do err did, smoke in front of a exhaust fan blowing outside.
And I wait for the day when Fart Pipes on imports and cheesy ground effects are banned. Oh and Speedo's on the Obese.

I use vapes for, errrrr, "not tobacco products". So much better than actually smoking. I have no problem with nicotine, "not nicotine", etc - really they're no different than caffeine and sometimes you need that extra boost to get through the day. It's the smoke that gets me. The vapes are awesome. You don't stink, lungs feel better... Vapes for everyone, I say!

Heavens yes! There are many. I just ordered 3 of these (http://www.teambuy.ca//en/products/28155972/?utm_medium=Email&utm_source=dailynewsletter&utm_campaign=products&utm_ad-content=20131001&keyword=products) the other day. They are essentially the same as the Atmos Raw vape (which is one of the most pooular) - I figure for the price it's work trying.
My buddy has the PAX vap, which is apparently good for anything you put into it and it amazingly well designed. I want one just for the product design!

I'm not allowed to do the herbal stuff anymore. My cousin uses "honey oil". Tells me it is way better, no hacking and only takes one to two puffs and he's done.

I ended up going with a canadian supplier and got something I will forsure let you know how it pans out. Just might have to remind me. I gotta admit after doing some reasearch im pretty excited, ive used the gas station ones before. And they were lacking in a few departments which sounds like they have resolved with the higher end stuff.

I have been vaping for just over a year now. Used to be a pack a day smoker. I have no intention to give up nicotine. My lungs feel great. Here's some of my epipes:

This thread is one of the best things to happen to me, got my vape...... And then got more vape stuff..... Now I'm gonna go get the wife hooked up.
I tried having a smoke after vaping and it was weak sauce compared to vaping. I was all like why am I even smoking this I'd rather be vaping......
You don't smell bad.... It does t chop up your insides.... Loooking forward to hopefully getting my lungs back. The only perk smoking has over vapeing is how fast the nicotine gets to my brain... It's slightly delayed.
I've been smoking for 12 years a pack a day and I think I may have just quit by accident ????????

Bought two disposables yesterday and all I did was cough after every puff. I feels so awkward. Maybe I am not ready to move to vaping.

Hassan.... The gas station disposibles are not even in the Same league.....
A) they don't contain nicotine, They also have crummy juice... With the boutique stuff you can adjust how much it hits your throat to the amount of smoke generated.. Also you can adjust the amount of nicotine and flavour

What unit would you guys suggest for a nicotine vaporizer? I bought a ecigarette thing a few years ago (~3) with the strongest liquid the had but I never really got into it, didn't even notice it when you inhaled other than a funny taste)

joyetech seems to be a good starting point, seems like alot of people still use em for portability even after they have gotten more advanced.
they got something called the twist, its cheaper and variable so you can dial it in.

this is a interesting post as I was just listing to a program on the radio a couple nights ago and they were talking about this. they also mad it knowen that while there is no smoke some have nic some don't but the biggest problem is there is no regulations on them and they are finding there are some pretty nasty chemicles in the fluids and in some cases they are worried about more helth issues than regular smoking.
so now there is a lobby forming to push for the products to be regulated as to what can and can't be in them.
but I always wondered about them, is there no smoke or smell at all? and how can it be better for your lungs if you are still inhaling the "juice"
and finaly whats it cost?

Agreed. Sucks being in the back seat. An open window does nothing.
Good on you bandit for trying a route to quit. No reason to substitute. Just use it as a crutch for the time being.
As for people using them only because they can smoke them in "movie theaters" and such... That's pathetic. And they have a huge addiction issue that needs to be addressed. At least I don't have watch them throw their butts on the ground. Smoking debris is just gross.

Very Interesting thread I stumbled onto. I have been smoking for at least 15 years. I have tried the gas station o es and all they seemed to do was give me a sore throat.
What brands are you guys using . I woukd like to give these a whirl. I have also heard the argument about chenicals and no regs.

Here's what I started with and suggest to friends who are starting out.
Ego twist: (this is a rechargeable battery that you can change the voltage on for a warmer or cooler vape)
https://www.CANVAPE.com/Genuine-Joyetech-eGo-C-Twist-p/twist.htm
Kanger Evod clearomizer (this is what you put your juice in)
https://www.CANVAPE.com/product-p/evod.htm
Ego USB Charger:
https://www.CANVAPE.com/product-p/egousbr.htm
USB wall plug cube (if you don't already have one)
https://www.CANVAPE.com/product-p/1amplug.htm
Then you need some juice. YOu need to use the search window on the site to get to the juice that contains nicotine. In the search window type "Halo"
PIck a juice that looks appealing. I really like the juice called "Tribeca". YOu then need to pick a nicotine strength. I vape the strongest (24)
I would suggest picking 2 juices and getting 2x Kanger Evod clearomizers - 1 for each flavour.

24 fesso ? your a madman. I started with 18 now im on 12, and when i use rbas I need to go down to 6. So most of my stock im ordering at 6 now.
I dont think the nicotine was ever what kept me addicted. but it does help to make the transition.
In three weeks I went from wanting tobbacco style vapes to smoking vanilla and fruits. I can barely stand the tobbacco types anymore :/
I will also recommend anyone to hop over to wackedoutcanada forums if they want more information or help. Fantastic community the vapers are. One of the first people to welcome me there was actually a canreefer out of the blue.

e-cigs have been great for me i occasionally(sometimes all the time) smoked cigars and the wife was not a fan of the smell on me and also the health thing. So i got a $34 vape kit from a local store and some vanilla liquid and have not had a cigar in a few weeks now. Probably a good thing as it was creeping back up into a near daily habit that i had kicked years ago. Feel much better during workouts now and now and don't have poo breath anymore. The 18mg liquid seems to be very similar to a lil prime time cigar.
