I should add red planet to my list. When I was starting out as a young ladd in the sps world, every where I go to buy frags i would point to a red planet and not knowing what it was. One time I went to buy frags from a hobbyist he had 3 red planets in his tank and I pointed to all 3 of them and wanted to buy it (not knowing they were all red planet) :-) that's my little tango with the red planet!

In no particular order:

Sunset Millepora (some of which - DV has some of the nicest specimens I've seen).

RR Jaw Dropper Acro - no scientific name available. I've seen a handful of these in person....and the web picture provided is quite accurate in colouration. I'm curious to see how the specimens are doing in their respective homes (and if they have survived). The enclosed lower res pics were taken with my camera phone. It gives you some kind of idea.

Acropora spathulata - in any form or colour. Just for the cool coralite formations. Endemic of Australia.

Taipan, thanks for posting pics of the RR JB. I only seen the web pics and always wondered how close the frags would look like compared to that. Even tho you cell pics are abit blue you can definately tell that they are close in colour.

If I could only choose 1 acro that would be it!

I have one of those being held for me.... Picking it up next week

My top 3 right now:

Setosa
ORA Red Planet
Tyree Red Dragon

I'm sure there are others but these are the most prominent in my tank right now. Other noteables:

SSC, ORA Pearlberry, Tubbs Pink Jade, Tyree Pink Lemonade, RR Wolverine and my Ultimate Bonsai. That last one has some unreal blue & green colour!

Those are the most noteable in my tank at the moment. We will see when the JawDropper starts growing out. *Fingers Crossed* cause it sure aint cheap!!!!!

I saw the new pieces that are being held by the LFS this morning for clients on the 'waiting list'. Very nice indeed. Enclosed are pictures from my new camera phone. I've purposely taken a picture of a piece out of water as well for reference and better representation.

So i know there are a lot of sps lovers on canreef, which 3 sps you must have if you can only have 3 sps?

This may not be the intent of your question, but if I could only have 3 in my tank, I would choose faster growing, colourful, thick branching type SPS corals like:
1. Tenuis
2. Valida
3. Cali Tort

But here are a few that I currently don't have that are on the top of my must have list.
1. Strawberry Shortcake
2. Kushberry
3. Plum Crazy (ORA)
