Hey everyone,
I am heading to the Twin Cities this next week coming up. Jul 5-9. I found a couple of locals that are getting rid of a bunch of live rock and was wondering if anyone has brought some over the border and what trouble is it? I have emailed Canadian Food Inspection Agency Import Services but thought I would ask here.
Any info would be great.

Thanks Dean

You would want to talk too Canada Customs Not the Canadian Food Inspection Agency Import Services, They deal with products for human consumption. Anyways I believe you still cannot legally bring live rock back from the states unless you have a the proper permits, since the Live rock is protected by being on the CITES list.

you need a Cites permit to bring the rock back. No permit and it will be confiscated and you will have a court dae to attend to. the last guy that was caught received a $2000 fine and a criminal record.
