Default Reef Wholesale Epic Warehouse Build

As you may have noticed, we have been a bit quiet on the forums lately.

If you have been following our facebook group;
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Reef-...30997073601127
you will have seen that we undertook a fairly large warehouse move, which we lovingly named
"Operation Move An Ocean".

We said goodbye to our warehouse at 12 Vulcan St in Etobicoke and upgraded to our new, just over 7,500 square foot warehouse at 6305 Northam Dr, Units 9-11, Mississauga and are redesigning our coral, inverts, fish system and drygoods facility.

You've seen Epic Tank Build Threads
You've seen Epic Tank Move Threads
You've even seen Epic Store Build Threads

We want you to be a part of this monumental event and will be doing an Epic Warehouse Build/Move Thread!

See behind the scenes of Reef Wholesale as we create our new warehouse!

Watch from the beginning the transformation from empty space to
Canada's Best Livestock and Drygoods Distribution Centre!

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay!
We just got back from the Marine Aquarium Expo in LA a weekend ago.
www.marineaquariumexpo.com

What a great show!
Check out the photo below of our booth set-up.
I will create a new post with some of the new items found at the show;

Not to get too off track in the thread, here are a couple photos of the new place before we moved in or started renovations;

This is the Livestock Room from three different views;

We forgot to take an office shot before we started work, but it is through the door in the middle of this photo.

Shipping and Receiving doors - a third one through the door on the right and at the back of the dry goods

We actually have a total of three bay doors.
The third door is on our drygoods side on the other side of the door in the pic.
Thats where most of the trucks will pull up to.

The middle door we are converting to a drive up door so that we can pull our cargo vans in to make loading and unlading of livestock much easier.
Its only about 5 steps to carry it up right now.... but 5 more steps than i like to take when your unpacking +40 boxes!!

The "blue zone" (aka the area of the floor with blue paint you can kinda see in the pic is out workshop area.
We are building a nice tool bench area with all the tools up on a board.
1 chop saw for acrylic/pvc and one for wood.
Its annoying swapping the baldes back and forth so often you end up trying to take short cuts and not swapping the blades which is not preferable.

I am looking for a good deal dust collector too to keep this are even cleaner.

We are pretty much ALWAYS building something new and working on 3-4 building projects at once.
So ALL building project must remain here which will help keep the dust and mess to one area... in theory anyways

Back to the warehouse build.
The office and livestock area needed to get a fresh coat of paint.

First Step.... figuring out how to mount the Go Pro

Second Step.... figuring out how to operate the Go Pro

Apparently my first attempt at programming the Go Pro wasn't entirely successfull as this is the only picture I have from our painting the livestock area

We had to do something about those glue covered floors in the livestock and office areas from the previous tile/carpet.

Patrick's dream floor was an epoxy coating, we found a local contractor who was able to complete the project, grind it down and epoxy it in under 3 days

Setting up to grind the floors to remove the glue;

Starting in the Office area;

Onto the Livestock area;

What a difference the 1st pass made!
